Augusta Eagles can attribute much of their success to John Craine, who rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and Eli Poteet, who rushed for 69 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries. Craine's longest rush was for an incredible 71 yards.
Meanwhile, Victory Christian fell victim to Tri-Cities Christian's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Eagles 40-0. Having soared to a lofty 44 points in the game before, Victory Christian couldn't push the score so high this time.
Augusta Eagles' win bumped their season record to 7-1 while Victory Christian's defeat dropped theirs to 3-5.
