After a string of three wins, the Unity Christian Academy Phoenix's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They suffered a rough 36-15 defeat at the hands of Grant Park. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Unity Christian Academy of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2022.
Grant Park was led to victory by Kennedy Marcotte and Claire Sluis. Marcotte scored eight points along with eight rebounds, while Sluis scored seven points along with ten rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Alejandra Maldonado, who scored eight points along with nine steals.
Unity Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 13-3. As for Grant Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-17 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Unity Christian Academy will take on the Hurricanes at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Grant Park, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st.
