Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Howard Lions, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a serious blow against Leonardtown on Thursday, falling 42-12. Having soared to a lofty 34 points in the game before, Howard couldn't push the score so high this time.
Zach Meade was on fire for Leonardtown: he rushed for 209 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. Meade was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 51 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Sirvon eubanks, who rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown.
Howard's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Leonardtown, their win was their third straight on the road , which pushed their record up to 5-5.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Reservoir the next time they take the field. Leonardtown will head out to face Reservoir at 6:00 p.m. on November 10th, while Howard will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on November 10th.
