The Southwest Covenant Patriots and the Oklahoma Bible Trojans squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Southwest Covenant Patriots had to settle for second. Southwest Covenant was the victim of a tough 60-34 loss at the hands of Oklahoma Bible. Southwest Covenant has not had much luck with Oklahoma Bible recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Jud Cheatham was his usual excellent self, rushing for 327 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. Cheatham was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 55 yards. Another player making a difference was Ian Eastin, who rushed for 78 yards and a touchdown.
Southwest Covenant's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Oklahoma Bible, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.
Southwest Covenant does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Oklahoma Bible will face off against Regent Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Regent Prep has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 345 points over their last six matches.
