The South Aiken Baptist Christian CRUSADERS's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They suffered a rough 78-55 loss at the hands of Varsity Opponent. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, South Aiken Baptist Christian still got an impressive performance from Colman Smith, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 16 rebounds. Smith scored a full 47.3% of South Aiken Baptist Christian's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Dennis, who scored 8 points along with 6 steals.
South Aiken Baptist Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Varsity Opponent, the last time they lost on the road was back back in October. Having now won seven straight away contests, they've pushed their record up to 82-347-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Aiken Baptist Christian will square off against Varsity Opponent at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Varsity Opponent will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Unity Reed at 7:00 p.m. on December 4th.
