The Lompoc Braves will head out on the road to square off against the Atascadero Greyhounds at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Lompoc is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Lompoc lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on on Friday was a bit more commanding. They suffered a tough 74-52 loss at the hands of Nipomo.
Meanwhile, Atascadero's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 62-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Templeton.
Lompoc has been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 14 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season. As for Atascadero, they now have a losing record at 12-13.
Lompoc skirted past Atascadero 61-58 in their previous meeting back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lompoc since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
