After flying high against the Flint Academy Falcons last Friday, the Hill Hawks came back down to earth. Hill took a serious blow against the Bulldogs on Friday, falling 65-15. Hill was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-7.
Methodist Children's Home's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elijah Williams, who scored 16 points along with six steals. Williams hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Daraun Taylor was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with two steals.
Hill now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Methodist Children's Home, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-4.
Hill will head out on the road to square off against the Blazers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Methodist Children's Home, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Angels at 2:00 p.m. on February 3rd. One thing working in Bell County HomeSchool's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
