After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cesar Chavez, the Chandler Wolves were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They came out on top against North by a score of 58-46. That's another feather in the cap for Chandler, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
North's loss came despite strong showings from Xxylina Flores and Saniyah Downing. Flores scored 21 points along with six steals, while Downing scored 15 points along with seven steals. Flores hasn't dropped below two steals for 12 straight games.
North struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Chandler's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-8. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.7 points per game. As for North, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chandler will take on Hamilton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hamilton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for North, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Maryvale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Maryvale focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 last Tuesday.
