Basketball Recap: Marissa Iverson Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Oregon-Davis

Winamac's game on Saturday was all tied up 34-34 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They managed a 62-56 win over the Oregon-Davis Bobcats. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 51-47 victory the Bobcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2020.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Winamac to victory, but perhaps none more so than Marissa Iverson, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 15 boards. What's more, Iverson also racked up two steals, the most she's had since back in November of 2024. Kandace Kroft was another key player, putting up 19 points in addition to eight assists and five rebounds.

Winamac was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Winamac's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-7. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points per game. As for Oregon-Davis, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.

Winamac will square off against North Judson-San Pierre at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Oregon-Davis has already played their next match (against Bremen), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
