Anthony might have his next game, a home matchup with Kingman Academy, circled on his calendar. When Anthony last faced the Tigers back in October of 2023, he rushed for 174 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.2 yards per carry.

Mchale Posts Huge Game in 51-14 Win
Joshua Mchale was instrumental in extending Glendale Prep Academy's winning streak to three on Friday. Mchale did his part (and then some), throwing for 260 yards and four touchdowns while completing 76.2% of his passes, and also rushing for 41 yards and a touchdown for the 'W'. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for four or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
Unfortunately for Highland Prep, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Mchale. When Mchale last faced the Honey Badgers back in October of 2023, he threw for 116 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also rushed for 55 yards and a touchdown.

Jamerrius Anthony Turns in Season-Best Performance
On Friday, Cortez had to settle for second even though Jamerrius Anthony put up the best numbers he has all season. Anthony rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 99 yards and a touchdown on only nine passes. His passing game has become a key predictor of Cortez's success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-3 otherwise.
For the year, Anthony has thrown those 1 touchdown (and no picks) while averaging 19 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had one rushing touchdown. This year he is already up to seven.
