The Hubbard Eagles won the last time they faced the McKinley Red Dragons, and things went their way on Thursday too. Hubbard came out on top against McKinley by a score of 54-41.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hubbard to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cara Geen, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Khamyah Howell, who scored eight points along with eight steals and five rebounds.
The victory got Hubbard back to even at 3-3. As for McKinley, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hubbard will be home for the holidays to greet Struthers at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Struthers is ranked 554th, while Hubbard is ranked 536th). McKinley will be home for the holidays to greet Poland Seminary at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
