Meanwhile, Saint Francis Catholic put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Friday. Everything went their way against Cedar Key as Saint Francis Catholic made off with a 63-42 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Saint Francis Catholic has posted since December 5, 2023.
Saint Francis Catholic got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was William Collett out in front who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Collett has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Liam Banks, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Oak Hall is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Saint Francis Catholic, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Everything came up roses for Oak Hall against Saint Francis Catholic when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 74-44 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Oak Hall since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
