Woodward Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kameron Herring, who scored 16 points along with 5 steals. The matchup was Herring's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Delaney Cooper, who scored 10 points along with 8 assists and 6 rebounds.
Lovejoy has fallen quite a ways from their 26-6 record last season and are now at 1-4. As for Woodward Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lovejoy will take on Jonesboro at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Jonesboro will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Woodward Academy will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Hoover at 11:30 a.m. on December 9th. One thing working in Hoover's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five games.
