Charleston Math & Science has not had much luck with Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Charleston Math & Science's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sarah Brown, who scored 17 points. Brown scored a full 37.8% of Charleston Math & Science's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Dalailyn Reed, who scored 13 points.
Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rylan Dundon led the charge by dropping a double-double on 19 points and 25 rebounds. Those 25 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Kiara Weaver was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Charleston Math & Science bumped their record down to 0-10 with that loss, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
Charleston Math & Science will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Military Magnet Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics and Providence Athletic Cluv will face off at 5:00 p.m. on December 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
