Softball Recap: Anaheim Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Victory

Anaheim waltzed into their matchup on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over the Savanna Rebels. The result was nothing new for the Colonists, who have now won nine contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Taylor Falt made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over seven innings pitched. Falt was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Anaheim got a massive performance out of Jenelle Monzon, who scored four runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Monzon is also crushing it when it comes to hits: she's got at least three every time she's taken the field this season. Chloe Tabita was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

Anaheim kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in seven consecutive games.

Anaheim pushed their record up to 12-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.1 runs over those games. As for Savanna, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.

Anaheim didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Katella on the 8th. As for Savanna, they have also already played their next contest, an 11-0 loss against Los Amigos on the 9th.
