Bellingham and Medfield are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2016, but likely not for long. The Blackhawks will face off against the Warriors at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
Bellingham had taken Norton down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Blackhawks fell just short of the Lancers by a score of 4-3.

Payton Young was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out nine batters over eight innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, Bellingham saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Doug Walton, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-6.
Meanwhile, Medfield had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Mohawks by a score of 9-6. The Warriors' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Cj Herrick was a standout: he scored two runs while going 3-for-3. Jack Folan also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Medfield was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matches.
Bellingham dropped their record down to 1-3 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only two runs. As for Medfield, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Bellingham has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Medfield struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Bellingham skirted past Medfield 5-4 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Do the Blackhawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
