After a string of three wins, the Montgomery Central Indians's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were the victim of a rough 49-28 defeat at the hands of Fairview. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Montgomery Central has scored all season.
Several Indians players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Drew Yarbrough, who scored 15 points. Christian Fox was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with 11 rebounds.
Montgomery Central struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Montgomery Central's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-10. As for Fairview, their victory bumped their record up to 4-14.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Montgomery Central the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Creek Wood at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th.
