After two games on the road, Show Low is heading back home. Having just played yesterday, they will get right back to it and host the Blue Ridge Yellow Jackets at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Show Low pushed their score all the way to 78 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Payson 84-78.
Show Low's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Preston Power, who scored 26 points, and Cameron Wallentine who scored 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wallentine has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Thomas Ellsworth, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Blue Ridge lost to the Longhorns at home by a decisive 69-54 margin on Saturday. Blue Ridge has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Show Low's loss dropped their record down to 19-8. As for Blue Ridge, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 13 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.
Show Low beat the Yellow Jackets 69-56 when the teams last played two weeks ago. Will Show Low repeat their success, or do the Yellow Jackets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
