Monterey is 10-0 against Lubbock since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Monterey Plainsmen will take on the Lubbock Westerners at 7:00 p.m. Monterey is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Monterey's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Caprock.

Frankie Diaz and JT Tuttle scored both of Monterey's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Meanwhile, Lubbock managed to keep up with Tascosa until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Lubbock came up short against Tascosa, falling 5-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Westerners in their matchups with the Rebels: they've now lost three in a row.

Monterey pushed their record up to 6-0-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four contests. As for Lubbock, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Everything went Monterey's way against Lubbock in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Monterey made off with a 4-1 win. Does Monterey have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lubbock turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
