Liberty had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 7-41 punch to the gut against Napavine on Saturday. This was the first contest for both squads, starting Liberty off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Napavine a 1-0 record.
Next week, Liberty take on Chewelah at 7:00 PM. Napavine are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Kalama next week at Kalama HS at 7:00 PM.
