The win was all the more spectacular given Grapevine's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 494th, while the Eagles are ranked 29th).
Matthew E woodcock continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Aaron Sowell, who scored 17 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Grapevine and bumps their season record up to 11-19. As for Argyle, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 24-6 record this season.
Grapevine will be playing in front of their home fans against the Royals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Richland has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 30. As for Argyle, they will head out on the road to square off against the Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Denton is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
