Bishop Brossart has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Scott Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Bishop Brossart suffered their biggest loss yet this season back in December of 2023. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 65-41 walloping at the hands of Lincoln County. While losing is never fun, Bishop Brossart can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while Lincoln County is ranked 103rd).
Scott posted their biggest victory since December 7, 2023 on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Calvary Christian 74-36 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Scott has posted against Calvary Christian since December 2, 2014.
Scott can attribute much of their success to Dylan Giffen, who scored 16 points, and Connor Griffin, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jon Evans, who scored seven points.
Bishop Brossart bumped their record down to 3-8 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Scott, the win got them back to even at 9-9.
Bishop Brossart came up short against Scott in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 69-57. Thankfully for Bishop Brossart, Brayden Howell (who scored 20 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
