Hardee has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Manatee Hurricanes at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Hardee focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Monday.
Hardee struggled with three-point shooting accuracy on Monday (Lake Placid was 22% better) and sadly the final score reflected it. Hardee lost to Lake Placid at home by a decisive 44-29 margin. Hardee has struggled against Lake Placid recently, as their match on Monday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Hardee saw an underclassman step up: Tylia Graham scored 12 points along with nine steals and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Danaelle Pierre, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Even though Manatee has not done well against Braden River recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Manatee came out on top in a nail-biter against Braden River and snuck past 43-40. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Manatee has posted yet this season.
Hardee has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Manatee, their victory bumped their record up to 10-7.
Hardee might still be hurting after the 42-21 defeat they got from Manatee in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can Hardee avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
