The West Forsyth Wolverines will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against the East Coweta Indians at 7:30 p.m. Both teams beat their previous opponents by a single goal, so this matchup might be just as contested.
West Forsyth was not the first on the board last Friday, but they got there more often. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Hillgrove. That's two games straight that West Forsyth has won by exactly one goal.
They hit Hillgrove with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Aiden Abunassar,
Lucas Campos, and
Luke Anderson.
Meanwhile, East Coweta took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday (barely). They had just enough and edged Starr's Mill out 2-1.
The win made it two in a row for West Forsyth and bumps their season record up to 2-0-1. As for East Coweta, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
West Forsyth beat East Coweta by a goal in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, winning 1-0. Will West Forsyth repeat their success, or does East Coweta have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
