Each year since 2006, MaxPreps has recognized outstanding performers in high school basketball. The tradition continues to close out the 2024-25 season by naming the top player in each state. Selections are based on team success and individual excellence in addition to local and state accolades.
Jamier Rose of
Noble (North Berwick) is the 2024-25 Maine MaxPreps Player of the Year. The 5-foot-11 senior guard led the Knights to a 21-4 record and an appearance in the Class A state semifinals.
For the season, Rose averaged 19.3 points, 8.9 rebounds, 8.3 assists and 5.1 steals per contest while shooting 42.3 percent from the field. He is a finalist for Maine Mr. Basketball.
