Even though the Williston-Elko Blue Devils have not done well against the Barnwell Warhorses recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Williston-Elko strolled past Barnwell with points to spare, taking the game 57-43. The win made it back-to-back wins for Williston-Elko.
Despite the defeat, Barnwell saw an underclassman step up: Vashahd Scofield scored 14 points. The matchup was Scofield's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Henri Creech, who scored eight points.
Williston-Elko now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Barnwell, they bumped their record down to 3-3 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
