Timothy Christian had lost four straight on the road, but  on Friday they dropped their record down to 0-9 to make it five. They lost  17-4 to the Dunellen Destroyers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Dunellen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  21-0  on Wednesday.
As for Dunellen, the  victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-3. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six  runs or more this season.
For Dunellen's part,  Kristhan Roman Lopez was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. He  struck out seven batters over  four innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits. Lopez was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with one  run and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Mark Stein was  incredible,  going 1-for-3 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and one  stolen base. That's the most  RBI  he has posted since back in April of 2024.  Jackson Portik was another key player,  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances with two  runs and one  RBI.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Timothy Christian will venture away from home to  square off against Plainfield  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Dunellen, they will head out to  take on South Hunterdon  at 3:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
