With a playoff win on the line, Sherwood rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Magruder Colonels 77-42. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 20 points or more this season.
Several Colonels players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zeke Dabbondanza, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 10 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gerald Suarez, who posted 11 points.
Sherwood's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 22-2. As for Magruder, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-11.
Looking ahead, Sherwood will challenge Blake on Thursday. Blake knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 24 contests -- so hopefully Sherwood likes a good challenge. Magruder does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
