Basketball Recap: Springfield Christian Academy Drops Season-High Score on Bloomfield Christian School

Springfield Christian Academy hadn't done well against Bloomfield Christian School recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. It was close, but Springfield Christian Academy ultimately received the gift of a 41-38 win from a begrudging Springfield Christian Academy squad. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Springfield Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Colbie Combs, who posted 18 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Combs has scored at least a third of Springfield Christian Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylin Zettle, who put up 14 points and five rebounds.

The victory got Springfield Christian Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Bloomfield Christian School, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-2.

Springfield Christian Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Community Baptist Christian at 5:00 p.m. on January 16, 2025. As for Bloomfield Christian School, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 41-6 victory against FAITH HomeSchool on the 19th.
