The Cordova Blue Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 69-30 loss at the hands of Locust Fork. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Cordova has scored all season.
Locust Fork's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Faith Evans, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds. The match was Evans' tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Haley Dutton, who scored 23 points.
Cordova's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Locust Fork, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.
Cordova will head out on the road to face off against Curry at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Curry will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 290th, while Cordova is ranked 136th). As for Locust Fork, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Cold Springs at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th. Cold Springs is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
