After only three points in their last game, The Marcus Marauders made sure to put some points up on the board against the Plano Wildcats on Friday. Marcus breezed by Plano at home to the tune of 53-7. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-0.
Marcus found their leader in underclassman Derrick Martin iii, who rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown. Martin iii's longest rush was for an incredible 93 yards. Bradley Ezeoke got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Marcus' victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Plano, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Marcus will head out on the road to face off against Plano East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Plano East will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Plano will take on Coppell at TBD on Friday. Coppell is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
