After losing to the Loris Lions the last time they met, the Dillon Wildcats decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Dillon snuck past Loris with a 47-41 win on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Dillon.
Dillon got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Treasure Davis out in front who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and six steals. The contest was Davis' tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Campbell, who scored 14 points along with five steals.
Dillon is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Loris, they bumped their record down to 6-9 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dillon won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Aynor at 6:30 p.m. on January 11th. Aynor's defense has only allowed 28.9 points per game this season, so Dillon's offense will have their work cut out for Dillon. As for Loris, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Waccamaw at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
