York might have drawn first blood against Warhill last Thursday, but it was Warhill who got the last laugh. It was close but no cigar for York as they fell 14-17 to Warhill. That makes it the first time this season York have let down their home crowd.
Meanwhile, after having lost a blowout in their game last week, New Kent were happy to find some success last Friday. They won a match that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Smithfield 23-22. The tight race was right in line with the MaxPreps state rankings' forecast.
York took their contest against New Kent the last time the two teams met by a conclusive 41-15 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for York since the team won't have home-field advantage. Watch the game and check back on MaxPreps to see if the change in venue makes a difference.
