The Perry Pumas will face off against the San Luis Sidewinders at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Perry is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.
Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Perry turned things around against Pinnacle on Monday. They came out on top against the Pioneers by a score of 7-3.
Luke Brahm and Dillon Mendoza dominated on the mound. Brahm tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits, while Mendoza pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Brahm has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Perry got a big performance out of Ryan Davie, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three RBI gave Davie a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Clayton Brassfield, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, San Luis waltzed into their game on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with an 8-5 win over the Coyotes.
San Luis also got a great performance from Erick Espinoza as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Espinoza also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Sidewinders are 5-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 10-11 otherwise.
At the plate, Cesar Chavira was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI. Carlos Gonzales was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
San Luis' victory bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Perry, their win bumped their record up to 17-10.
Everything went Perry's way against San Luis in their previous matchup back in March, as Perry made off with a 17-5 victory. Will the Pumas repeat their success, or do the Sidewinders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
