It was a good run, but the Northern Huskies unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 60-34 walloping at the hands of Southern. While losing is never fun, Northern can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 211th, while Southern is ranked 105th).
Noah Wilt was nothing short of spectacular for Southern: he scored 19 points along with six rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Keller, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Northern now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Southern, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-6.
Northern won't have much time to rest: their next game is against East Hardy at 5:30 p.m. on February 10th.
