The Addenbrooke Classical Academy Mustangs lost against the Loveland Classical Lions last Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Addenbrooke Classical Academy ended up on the wrong side of a tough 69-46 walloping at the hands of Loveland Classical. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Addenbrooke Classical Academy in their matchups with Loveland Classical: they've now lost four in a row.
Addenbrooke Classical Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Diego Jaramilio, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Summers, who scored 11 points.
Even though they lost, Addenbrooke Classical Academy were working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
It was another big night for Caedon Meyer, who scored 20 points along with eight steals and five assists for Loveland Classical. The match was Meyer's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Luke Sainz, who scored 19 points.
Addenbrooke Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Loveland Classical, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
Addenbrooke Classical Academy will be playing at home against Belleview Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Belleview Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Addenbrooke Classical Academy likes a good challenge. Loveland Classical will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Rocky Mountain Lutheran at 7:30 p.m. on January 11, 2024.
