Orthopaedic waltzed into their match on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They never let the Downtown Magnets Suns get on the board and left with a 28-0 victory. The Vipers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by nine runs or more this season.

Brianna Ramirez made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. Those 14 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, Orthopaedic got a massive performance out of Melanie Garcia, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and one double. Garcia is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Natalie Garcia was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI.

Orthopaedic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .762. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .552 or higher in three consecutive games.

Orthopaedic pushed their record up to 14-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 26.3 runs over those games. As for Downtown Magnets, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-12.

As of now, neither Orthopaedic nor the Suns have any future games scheduled.
