The West Field Longhorns will take on the Cedar Reds at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a eight-game winning streak alive.
West Field is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over Sky View. The Longhorns might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.
Brinklee Hadley made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.

In other batting news, West Field let Brylee Leatherwood and Ayzlee Sessions run wild. Leatherwood went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one double, while Sessions went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Those two stolen bases gave Sessions a new career-high. Kam Bell was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
West Field always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sky View only posted an OBP of .318.
Meanwhile, Cedar beat Orem 11-8 on Friday.
Sloane Fielding and Kate Lopez did most of the damage at the plate: Fielding went 3-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double, while Lopez went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Hunter Blackner, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.
West Field's win bumped their record up to 17-4. As for Cedar, their victory bumped their record up to 24-5.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. West Field has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.5 hits per game. However, it's not like Cedar struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.3 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
