After three games on the road, Platte County is heading back home. They will take on the Central Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Central took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Platte County, who comes in off a win.
Even though Kansas City East Christian Academy scored an imposing 59 points on Friday, Platte County still came out on top. Platte County took their matchup against Kansas City East Christian Academy 70-59. The victory was just what Platte County needed coming off of a 81-60 loss in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, Central was the victim of a rough 68-42 loss at the hands of Oak Park on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 198th, while Oak Park is ranked second).
Platte County's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Central, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Platte County came out on top in a nail-biter against Central when the teams last played back in February of 2023, sneaking past 55-53. Does Platte County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Central turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
