The Fleming County Panthers put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They secured a 76-70 W over Scott. Given Fleming County's advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while Scott is ranked 89th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Scott still got an impressive performance from Dylan Giffen, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points and 0 assists. Connor Griffin was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Fleming County pushed their record up to 5-0 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Scott, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
Fleming County will be playing at home against Bath County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bath County comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Scott, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Henry at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
