Volleyball Recap: Wheaton-Warrenville South Starts off Right with Win over Plainfield East

Wheaton-Warrenville South had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Plainfield East Bengals by a score of 2-0. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Bengals recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Wheaton-Warrenville South easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-12.

Wheaton-Warrenville South can attribute much of their success to Kayla Paige, who had nine digs and two aces.

Paige wasn't the only good server: Wheaton-Warrenville South was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Plainfield East didn't served any aces.

Wheaton-Warrenville South didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Naperville Central on the 26th. As for Plainfield East, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Benet Academy on the 29th.
