Daphne was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in 6A Region 2. Earlier in the week, the Trojans triumphed over Northview 35-23.
Daphne was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating the Cougars 35-23. Glenn Vickery's team came in at 24 in the state poll after placing at number 38 last week.
Northview's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cougars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jalen Harris has thrown for 208 yards and one touchdown this season, while Ivan Lampkin has two catches for 39 yards. Harris also leads the league in rushing with 187 yards.
Dothan suffered a letdown when it was bounced from the state Top 25 this week after a 40-14 loss to Dothan. The Tigers had been ranked 22nd, but fell to 28 following the defeat.
