If the Grandview Eagles were feeling good off their 45-17 takedown of the Dupo Tigers on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Grandview was beaten by St. Louis HomeSchool P 72-41 on Thursday. Grandview lost against St. Louis HomeSchool P in their previous head to head last Friday, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 69-34 score last time.
It was another big night for Liam Boyce, who scored 17 points along with 8 assists and 8 rebounds for St. Louis HomeSchool P. Boyce has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was AJ Stanley, Jr., who scored 18 points along with 6 rebounds.
Grandview's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for St. Louis HomeSchool P, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grandview will square off against West County at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. West County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Grandview in Missouri (West County is ranked 148th, while Grandview is ranked 391st). As for St. Louis HomeSchool P, they will head out on the road to face off against DeSoto at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
