Melody Bender made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Bender was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 6-for-6 with three stolen bases, five runs, and seven RBI. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (three).
