Basketball Recap: Pamlico Christian Academy Extends Home Winning Streak to Nine

Pamlico Christian Academy extended their home winning streak to nine games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Trent Gaskins. The Pamlico Christian Academy Mariners walked away with a 49-37 victory over the Jacksonville Christian Academy Conquerors on Tuesday thanks in part to Gaskins, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 14 points in addition to eight boards and five assists. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played.

Another player making a difference was Brady Caccavaro, who went 5 of 10 en route to 10 points and six rebounds. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

Despite the defeat, Jacksonville Christian Academy had strong showings from Kellen Evans, who posted 19 points along with eight rebounds and three steals, and CJ Mendoza, who had 12 points and seven boards.

Pamlico Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Jacksonville Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Pamlico Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-31 loss against Liberty Christian Academy on the 12th. As for Jacksonville Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 71-44 defeat against Faith Christian Academy on the 13th.
