Block Island scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 51-32 victory over Times Squared Academy. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Block Island also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Block Island's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Haley Conant, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Conant has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey Payne, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Block Island's win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-8. As for Times Squared Academy, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Block Island will face off against Davies Career & Tech at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Davies Career & Tech will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Block Island surely won't give up without a fight. As for Times Squared Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Johnston at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
