The HRK Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 22 points or more this season. They breezed by Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats on the road to the tune of 49-19. With HRK ahead 29-4 at the half, the game was all but over already.
HRK's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chelsey Gardner , who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Gardner has scored at least 25% of HRK's points. Another player making a difference was Molli Ward, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and four blocks.
HRK's victory bumped their record up to 14-1. As for Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. HRK is on the road again on Friday and play against Kalamazoo HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th. Kalamazoo HomeSchool will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 219th in Michigan, while HRK is ranked 60th in Illinois). Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tindley at 7:30 p.m. on January 15th.
