The Menahga Braves were the 68-55 winner over the Sebeka Trojans when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Menahga fell to Sebeka 72-66. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (62), Menahga still had to take the loss.
Sebeka got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jasper Hosey out in front who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Teagen Lee was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Menahga's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Sebeka, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Menahga will take on Wadena-Deer Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sebeka, they will head out on the road to square off against Pillager at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pillager is coming into the contest with three straight victories at home, so Sebeka is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
