Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sunny Hills). They blew past the Western Pioneers, posting a 73-45 victory. Given the Lancers' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 301st, while the Pioneers are ranked 924th), the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sunny Hills can attribute much of their success to Dane Mills, who made all 8 shots he took to post 16 points. The dominant performance gave Mills a new career-high in points. Kamron Tonga was another key player, putting up ten points along with five rebounds and five blocks.

Sunny Hills was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Sunny Hills is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Western, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Sunny Hills will head out to square off against Mark Keppel at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Sunny Hills has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Western, they will take on Troy in a tournament on Thursday.
