Everything went their way against the Gatewood Gators on Tuesday as the Edmund Burke Academy Spartans made off with  an  18-9 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Spartans considering their one-run performance the  game before.
  Kensy Felix made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  struck out seven batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and eight unearned) runs off   seven  hits. What's more,  she also racked up  no  strikeouts, the fewestshe's  had since back in August. She was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news, Edmund Burke Academy let  Leila Eastmead and  Addison Riggs loose on the outfield. Eastmead  went 2-for-5 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and two  doubles, while  Riggs  went 2-for-4 with a  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI. What's more,  Eastmead also posted a .400  batting average, which is the highestshe's  posted since back in August. Another player making a difference was  Camden Bonnell, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Edmund Burke Academy was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .375. That's the best  batting average they've posted all season.
 The  victory made it two in a row for Edmund Burke Academy and  bumps their season record up to 10-6. As for Gatewood, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost 11 of their last 12 matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record  this season.
 Edmund Burke Academy will square off against Brentwood at 5:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Gatewood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
